‘Safe Passage Program’
Welcome to Parent to Parent Australia
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about this outstanding drug and alcohol education program for keeping families healthy as part of
your organisation’s commitment to your community.
The ‘Safe Passage Program’ is a nationally recognised DVD based program designed to empower
and enable parents. The goal of the program is to help parents develop confidence, competence,
and commitment to guide young people through the adolescent years. Developed in America by
Bill Oliver when he founded The Passage Group in 1988, the program has reached over 3 million parents,
in schools and communities through over 3,000 organisations worldwide. These organisations include public
and private schools, sporting clubs, community organisations, church groups and government entities. Recently, the
program has become available through the establishment of Parent to Parent Australia Incorporated.
As a result, parents and communities in Australia now have the opportunity to adopt the ‘Safe
Passage Program’.
At Parent to Parent Australia we believe parents hold the answer. Our mission is simple: Empower parents to form a barrier between their children and the toxic elements that surround them.
Our 'Safe Passage Program' offers a unique and non-threatening approach to better equip parents to guide young people around today’s Toxic Culture. We believe that when it comes to raising children in today’s society, schools can help, churches can help, and social services can help, but nothing can replace the power and influence a parent has on the behavior of their child. Parent to Parent Australia is a non-profit, non-political and non-religious organisation established to promote a ‘Safe Passage’ from childhood to adulthood for every young person.
The ‘Safe Passage Program’ is funded by the Australian Government Department of Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs under the Strengthening Families Initiative.
